Ripper Clip-In Pedals

Installing all the pins is not necessary. You may find that cleats engage more easily with fewer or even no pins. We encourage you to experiment with various pin configurations to find the setup that best suits your riding needs.

Ripper pedals are equipped with a single bushing on the inner side and a 686 cartridge bearing (6mm x 13mm x 5mm) on the outer side.

To keep your pedals in top shape, we provide Clip mechanism replacement kit, Axle Replacement Kits and Pedal Pin Kits as available spare parts.

The black spring goes on the right pedal, while the silver spring is for the left pedal.

Both are SPD-compatible pedals built around our spring-loaded Angular Engagement System, with a 55mm Q factor and an 18 degree release. The Ripper has a 93 x 100mm platform, is 21mm thick and weighs 570g a pair. The Ripper2 is slightly smaller and thinner at 90 x 100mm and 17mm, and lighter at 500g double-sided or 428g single-sided; its clip mechanism is tilted 15 degrees to make catching the cleat easier, and the single-sided version gives you a flat platform on the other face.

AES is the spring-loaded rocker mechanism inside the Ripper's clip: the front end tilts up to meet the cleat, so clipping in is a stamp rather than a fish-and-hope. It releases at 18 degrees with 5 degrees of float, takes standard SPD-compatible cleats, and the whole mechanism is replaceable with the Clip Mechanism Kit.
