Ripper2 MTB Clip-In Pedals
The race pedal that meets your cleat halfway.
The Ripper2 takes our World Cup-proven AES clip and tilts it 15 degrees, so the front of the mechanism lifts to meet the cleat as your foot comes down — clipping in stays smooth exactly when the trail is at its roughest. Standard SPD-compatible cleats come in the box, releasing at 18 degrees with 5 degrees of float.
The concave outer cage is CNC AL6061 over a forged body — 90 x 100mm and 17mm thin. Go double-sided (500g) to clip in without looking, or single-sided (428g) for a flat, pinned platform on the back that works in normal shoes.
It won a Design & Innovation Award for being exactly what it is: a solid, no-nonsense SPD pedal. The clip mechanism and a Ripper2-specific axle kit keep it running.
After the original big-cage racer? That is the Ripper. Want a full flat-pedal platform under the clip? The Mamba.
Ripper2 MTB Clip-In Pedals
Smooth engagement
The Angular Engagement System (AES) enhances SPD cleat engagement for smoother action. Once clipped in, the raised platform provides excellent pedal feel and support.
Optimized Clearance
Ripper2's chamfered edges provide excellent clearance, reducing accidental contact for smoother performance.
Axle System
International standard 9/16 inch CrMo axle with sealed cartridge bearing and DU bushing
Replaceable pins
Removable metal pins provide maximum grip, and can be easily customised or replaced to suit rider preference.
AL6061 CNC pedal body
It's CNC machined from 6061 aerospace alloy to create a roomy platform for riders who need a little extra space.
Unique Rocker Clip-in
Special rocker clip-in system with a spring-loaded mechanism. The front end tilts up for easy cleat engagement.
Tension Adjustment
Allows you to easily adjust how hard it is to get in and out of the pedal.
Fully Serviceable
Ripper2 pedals are easy to service with Funn's rebuild kits, which include all bearings, bushings, and seals for long-lasting performance.
Lightweight Performance
The Ripper2 features a smaller platform than the original Ripper, reducing weight for improved pedaling efficiency and versatile trail riding.
