Wideopen Reviews the Mamba Pedal

UK gravity site Wideopenmountainbike.com just reviewed the Funn Mamba pedal — and its roomy platform came out of the Scottish mountains with full marks.

The Mamba on the trail — a roomy platform whether clipped in or out.

Available in single and double-sided options, the Mamba is our clipless mountain bike pedal that’s built with a roomy platform for extra support. The Mamba uses an SPD mechanism and is built with a large AL6061 body, CrMo axle with DU and cartridge bearing and 4 replaceable pins per side (double). They have our awesome GRS system for easy maintenance and can be easily serviced with spares available through our site.

Wideopen’s test pilot Pete put the Mambas through a solid test in the mountains of Scotland, praising their roomy platform which offers loads of support when you’re clipped in or out. He also really liked the low stack height, which creates plenty of clearance on rough, rocky trails.

The review finishes by saying: “The Funn Mambas offer the best you can expect from a modern clip pedal with added advantages of the GRS system allowing easy regreasing of the axle and DU bush, and ticks the box for anyone after a large platform with good clearance. They’re certainly on the mark when it comes to the asking price too.” No arguments here!
