Pedal Axle Replacement Kit

Pick the variant that carries your pedal's name. The kit is model-specific and the list covers Funndamental, Taipan, Taipan S, Python, Ripper, Ripper2, Mamba, Mamba S, Black Magic, Tactic and Clast. Axles are not shared between models even where two pedals look alike from the outside, so the model name is the whole decision — there is nothing else to match.

When the pedal has developed play or roughness but the body is still sound — which is the usual order of failure, because the platform outlasts the moving parts inside it. A rebuild costs a fraction of a new pair and you keep a body that is already worn in. The time to buy new is when the platform itself is cracked, or the pin threads are stripped past recovery; at that point there is nothing left worth saving.

If you have not done this before, a bike shop will get through it quickly and without marking anything, and even with labour the rebuild still costs well under a new set of pedals.

No — this kit is the axle side of the pedal. Pins are sold separately by family: 4mm or 6mm for Mamba, Ripper and Python, with their own kits for Black Magic, Taipan and Funndamental. Since the pedal is coming apart anyway, it is the obvious moment to put fresh pins in at the same time.
