Taipan and Taipan S Pedal Pin Kit

Taipan and Taipan S only. The thread is M3, which is finer than the M4 used across the rest of the Funn flat pedal range, so these will not go into a Mamba, Ripper, Python or Funndamental — those take the M4 kits — and Black Magic uses a different design again. M3 and M4 look close enough to be mistaken for each other and are far enough apart not to thread, so check the pedal before ordering.

Because the Taipan pin is held with a nut rather than threading straight into the pedal body. That means you need access to both faces of the platform when fitting one, which is what the tools in the kit are for, and it is why the nuts are supplied alongside the pins — a nut that has been rounded off or lost is as much of a problem as a missing pin.

It is far easier off the bike. You need to reach both sides of the platform to hold the nut while you turn the pin, and having the pedal in your hand rather than attached to a crank makes that much less awkward.
