Zippa LG Chain Guide

The Zippa LG comes in two sizes, one for 28T to 32T chainrings and one for 34T to 36T. Choose the one that matches your ring: the sizes exist so the guide sits close enough for reliable chain control while keeping ground clearance. Note that the lower idler is not compatible with oval chainrings — it has to hold the chain at a fixed distance from the ring, which an oval's changing effective radius does not allow.

Yes, the idler bracket can be removed, allowing the Zippa LG to function just like a Zippa Bash guard.

Yes — a spare bash guard comes in the package, so your first replacement is already covered. Once that one has been used up, the Zippa Spare Bash is the part you need; the same bumper fits the Zippa LG and both sizes of the Zippa Lite Bash Guard, so there is only one to order.

While the Zippa LG is optimized for high-pivot bikes, it can be used on other bikes as long as there's enough chain wrap around the chainring and the idler doesn't interfere with the frame.

The incompatibility we know about is specific to the 28T-32T size: that combination will not work on a Deviate frame, so if you ride one and run a chainring in that range, this is not the guide for you. Riders on 34T and above fall outside the known issue. Either way it is worth a dry fit before you commit — high-pivot frames vary a lot in the area around the idler.

ISCG05, and only ISCG05 — there is no BSA adapter for the LG, unlike the Zippa AM and Zippa DH, which ship with one. Look for three small threaded tabs arranged around the drive-side bottom bracket shell before you order; without them the LG has nothing to bolt to. Most modern high-pivot frames have them.
