Kingpin Riser Handlebar

Your stem decides this, not preference — the two are not interchangeable, so measure the clamp on the stem you already have. In 35mm the Kingpin is 785mm wide with 30, 15 or 7mm of rise. In 31.8mm there are two bars: 785mm with 30 or 15mm rise, and 810mm with 15 or 7mm rise.

Rise is how far the grip area sits above the clamp. The Kingpin range is deliberately low — 7, 15 or 30mm — which keeps weight over the front wheel, where it buys you grip in corners. Go higher if you want the front end calmer on steep ground, lower if you want to load the front tyre. Bear in mind stem spacers move bar height as well, so rise is not the only lever you have.

Upsweep is how far the ends angle upwards; backsweep is how far they angle back towards you. Most Kingpin versions run 5.5° up and 8° back, and the lowest-rise ones 2° up and 5° back. Backsweep is the figure your wrists notice — 8° is a comfortable, widely used amount, while 5° pulls your hands into a straighter, more aggressive position.

Yes — it is alloy, so it shortens with a pipe cutter or a hacksaw and a cutting guide. Take the same amount off each end, measure from the centre rather than from the ends, and check your grips and controls still have room. The shapes are the same — identical widths, rises and sweeps — so the difference is the alloy. Kingpin is Supreme 7; the Full On is triple-butted AL6061. That shows up on the scales: 295–315g for the Kingpin against 340–380g for the Full On, depending on version. Choose the Kingpin if the weight is worth it to you; the Full On gives you the same fit for less.

Use the torque figure printed on your stem's faceplate — it is the stem that sets it, not the bar — and use a torque wrench rather than going by feel.
