Made in Taiwan - ,ZAM 5

The original idea emerged five years ago. In summer 2012, it became just a Richard ‘Gaspi’ Gasperotti’s biking trip to Mongolia. While the others go to famous places, the concept of Zam’s been to explore less known landscapes for the use of mountain biking. The word Zam comes from Mongolian language and literally means a journey. After the missions to New Mexico and Sardinia, we decided to look closer at the freeriding spots in Taiwan, which is considered as a country producing most of the high-quality mountain bikes in the world. Many people tried to dissuade us from doing so. We were told there are not many trails in the dense jungles, that the mountains are too big, that the slopes are too steep and the community too tiny.
